A new survey has uncovered the A-list celebrities who have the highest number of fake followers on social media - and you might be surprised at the results. In the 'Showbiz' category, American chat show host Ellen DeGeneres was found to have the highest number of fake followers overall at 48 per cent. In second place was Korean pop band BTS with 47 per cent of fake followers, followed by Kourtney Kardashian in third place with 46 per cent. Other big names with the most automated followers across their two social platforms include Ariana Grande (46 per cent), Taylor Swift (46 per cent), Miley Cyrus (45 per cent) and Priyanka Chopra (43 per cent). It's worth noting that having fake or 'bot' followers, doesn't necessarily mean that that respective celebrity paid for the follower boost.
