Twitter shows how many followers an account has on their Profile page. But if the number is 10,000 or more, it rounds it to the nearest one hundred. For example here is @WPtips with 9,759:

Let's say you have more than 10,000 followers and want to know exactly how many. That's not unreasonable! Perhaps you are making a note of growth over time. An increase from 10.1K to 10.2K could represent as many as 199 new followers (10,050 to 10,249) or as few as one (10,149 to 10,150). On desktop Twitter, you could until last month (May 2020) just hover over that rounded figure on the profile page and an exact figure would appear in a tooltip. Sadly that has now been removed. Instead you can do the following: Make sure you are logged in to your Twitter account Go to Twitter Analytics (select More > Analytics in the menu or visit https://analytics.twitter.com/) In the top right is your follower count rounded to the nearest hundred Hover over that and an exact count will appear in a tooltip However I subsequently upgraded to the most recent version of the app (8.21 at the time of writing) and this information is no longer displayed.

Try Echofon instead

If this doesn't work for you, I would recommend trying the free Echofon for Twitter app instead (there's also a paid-for 'Pro' version, but the free one is absolutely fine for our purposes). Certainly on iOS this still displays an exact follower count, as of version 13.2.8. I'm assuming this is the case on Android too.
