There are more than 10 million hours of video on the platform, and people have figured out how to monetize it handsomely. Some vloggers make enough for a little pocket money, while others have turned it into a real career. But when does YouTube start paying you for your channel’s videos? This means it pays to check the rules regularly. At the time of publication, your channel needs a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of viewing time in the past year before the money starts flowing in.
