A YouTube video with 1 billion views can make upwards of $5,000. According to a variety of sources, YouTubers can make anywhere from $0.01 to $0.30 per ad view with an average of $0.18 per view. The amount of money that YouTube pays in addition varies based on:

The number of views your video receives

The number of clicks an ad receives

Video length

Forbes estimates that for top talent, a YouTuber can make about $5 for every 1,000 video views. YouTube does not pay you based on the number of subscribers you have on your channel. Subscribers are people who choose to follow your account and have easy access to your latest videos. Even though YouTube does not pay you based on your number of subscribers, they are valuable because they are the ones who will likely comment, like, and share your videos. This means gaining more views and potentially more YouTube money if you place the right ads. To get paid by YouTube, you first need to reach a balance of $100 or more from views. This means that you will need to get at least 20,000 views if you receive $5 per 1,000 views. To help make this happen, YouTube created the YouTube Partner Program, which allows you to get paid through advertisements on your page. Once you're in the YouTube Partner Program, you can start bringing in money through advertisements. This is done by either cost per view or cost per click. It is important to note that Google will give you 68% of the revenue if you display ads with Adsense. So, if a video generates $1,000 from Adsense revenue, you will receive $680. Ad placements aren't the only way to make money on YouTube. You can also use affiliate links, merchandise, and sponsorships.

Is it better to post a reel or video on Instagram?

The main differences are that creators have access to a music library, editing tools, and more filters on Reels than they do on videos, they can use audio from other creators in Reels but not in normal videos, and they can create a "remix" on Reels, which you can't do on regular Instagram video.

After essentially copying TikTok's short video format, Instagram is taking another bold step towards becoming the app it appears to admire so much . The company is reportedly considering turning all of its videos into Reels. If this decision goes through, you won't be able to post a casual video of, say, your cat snoozing, on your grid anymore: you'll have to make it a Reel instead. This might seem like no big deal, because, after all, there aren't a ton of differences between Instagram Reels and Instagram videos. The main differences are that creators have access to a music library, editing tools, and more filters on Reels than they do on videos, they can use audio from other creators in Reels but not in normal videos, and they can create a " remix " on Reels, which you can't do on regular Instagram video. Remix is a feature that also copies TikTok's Duet function, which lets creators make their own Reel directly next to a Reel that already exists. Basically, it reads like Instagram wants you to stop posting videos altogether — and start posting Reels instead. Reels are also more discoverable than regular videos, thanks to the good ol' Reels discover page on Instagram. Social media consultant Matt Navarra posted a screenshot on Thursday that Instagram is testing the feature with some users. When they go to upload a video post, users are told that "video posts are now shared as Reels."
