Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems. Zoom Rooms is the original software-based conference room solution used around the world in board, conference, huddle, and training rooms, as well as executive offices and classrooms. The COVID-19 pandemic made Zoom so popular that people refer to online conferencing today as a "Zoom meeting". Using Zoom requires the download and installation of the Zoom application on a computer or mobile device. The application helps participants see or listen to each other in real time. This is a typical "online conference meetings". Other scenarios require a small group or "presenters" to be able to communicate, when many other viewers are passively watching them. Looking to produce this kind of large broadcast and stream the "online meeting" to large audience on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and perhaps on your own website? Videolinq can help. Read further. Zoom added recently the ability to publish a Zoom meeting to Facebook and Youtube (one at a time), or to a "Custom streaming service". When you use your Videolinq account you can publish a Zoom meeting to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Vimeo, or to any streaming video provider at the same time!.

How to stream from Zoom to Videolinq and from Videolinq to up to 250 destinations?

Step 1:

Login to the Videolinq media dashboard, open a channel, set the video source to RTMP and enable it. Click on the "Encoder" tab and copy the RTMP path and stream key.

Step 2:

Login to your Zoom account. Detailed instructions are listed on this Zoom help page . Activate the "custom streaming service" option and allow custom stream settings for individual meetings. This will allow entering the Videolinq RTMP path and stream key during meeting scheduling of individual Zoom meetings or webinars.

Step 3:

To enter the RTMP path and stream key to individual meetings, "schedule a meeting" in Zoom and save it first. Then scroll down too the bottom of the page and open "Configure Custom Streaming Service".

Step 4:

Copy the RTMP path and stream key. In the domain box enter the website of your domain. If you do not plan to stream on your website simply enter https://www.videolinq.com. Save settings.

Step 5:

Start your Zoom meeting and click on the 3-dots to select "Live on Custom Live Streaming Service".

Step 6:

When the live stream begins you will see a red "LIVE" box on the upper left corner of the Zoom application or webpage (when you use Zoom in the browser).

Step 7:

Your Zoom meeting is now shared with Videolinq and you will see it in the channel preview player. Now decide what you want to do with your Zoom meeting:

You can add closed captioning to the live stream.

You can create a HTML5 cross platform player and post it on your website or blog. You can monetize on the live stream by adding ads insertions from 3rd party advertising platforms like Google DFP. We prepared this article using a paid Zoom account. The Zoom setup instructions are slightly different for corporate or free plan Zoom customers.

A yellow face with scrunched, X-shaped eyes, furrowed eyebrows, and a broad, open frown, as if yawning in exhaustion or groaning in exasperation. Usually shown with upper teeth and sometimes tongue.
