In this blog, we will discuss the Three E’s of Social Media and how you can incorporate them into your social media strategy in an authentic way that can work well with your business.

Educate

When someone is looking for an answer to a question, chances are they are seeking google and social media. Consider your personal actions, where do you seek information on a topic you desire to learn more about? Educating your audience on a consistent basis will train them to visit your platform first for answers to their questions or to simply know more on a subject. For example, if you are a food blogger, posting recipes and how-tos helps to educate your audience on how to cook and prepare their food. If you specifically prepare vegan food, you have now created a niche for yourself. In this case, if your audience is looking for a vegan meal recipe, they will visit your platform first.

Entertain

How many times have we scrolled through social media looking for content that will make us laugh, cry, or feel? To entertain is to provide amusement or enjoyment. If your brand or business has a serious tone, you can navigate this by offering amusement. Most times, you can entertain by utilizing video – incorporating a how-to tutorial, behind the scenes, or even a testimonial. One of our favorite platforms is Good News Movement. Although they are a journalist platform, they share user generated content that provide a sense of amusement or enjoyment.

Engage

Engaging content seeks to interact with the audience. Forms of engagement include asking a question, using video, or surprising your audience. When you surprise your audience, your post will stand out from the others, ensuring it gets more attention and visibility. Some of your audience will feel the need to reward you for the surprise. When this happens, they are likely to leave a comment or share the article on their social media platforms, increasing engagement either way.
