The outcries from social media managers can be heard everywhere…

Well, they didn’t remove it, but they did make some changes. Facebook is rolling out a new, free feature called Creator Studio. It is replacing the traditional “Publishing Tools” option that was used to schedule, edit, and view past posts, draft posts, and upcoming scheduled posts.

Highlights from the video:

You can no longer schedule a Facebook post from the “front-end” of the page. You can post directly from the box, but scheduling is not an option. Go to “Creator Studio” found in the white navigation bar at the top of your screen.

In the upper left-hand corner, you’ll see the “Create Post” button.

The right-hand side of the screen will open up. You can create your post with a video, photo, or other options. Right now, you cannot edit the photo (crop it, change the lighting, etc.) Schedule the post by clicking the arrow next to the blue “Publish” button.

You can view a variety of posts inside Creator Studio, including:

All Posts

All Published

Scheduled

Drafts

Once connected, you’ll click “Create Post” in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. You can choose to add a photo to your Instagram feed or upload a video to IGTV.

Note: You cannot add filters from Creator Studio.

Schedule the post!

If you dislike Creator Studio, there is an option to schedule posts in Business Manager or Publishing Tools. You can type in business.facebook.com/name of your page – and then you’ll be able to schedule from the “front-end” of the page.

If you have questions, post those below! We are here to help.

Requirements

To live stream on mobile, you’ll need:

At least 50 subscribers.

No live streaming restrictions within the last 90 days on your channel.

To verify your channel.

To enable live streaming. You may need to wait 24 hours before you can start your first live stream.

An Android 5.0+ device.

If you have under 1,000 subscribers

To help make YouTube a safe community for everyone, we may limit the number of viewers on your mobile live stream, and your archived live stream will be set to private by default.

Why is my mobile live stream’s audience limited?

To help aspiring creators while protecting the community, we've created safeguards to limit the spread of potentially harmful content.

What happens after I get 1,000 subscribers?

After reaching 1,000 subscribers, it may take several weeks to remove the mobile live streaming audience limitation. If your subscriber count decreases during this time then it may take longer. If your channel goes below 1,000 subscribers, you will have the same audience limitation as when your channel had less than 1,000 subscribers. You won’t lose access to mobile live streaming unless your channel goes below 50 subscribers.
