In spite of the fact that this is the case, about 90% of respondents stated that they saw someone in their network of friends and acquaintances posting something that had a racist slant to it, indicating that only those with radical fringe views are confident enough to say what they really think.84% of respondents also stated that they have seen negative comments about such sensitive topics as gender and sexual orientation. This suggests a bit of a gap between what people are perceiving and what is actually going on.
