The Salaries of Digital Marketing Managers Around the World

Over the years significant changes to technology have changed our lives in many ways, especially in the workplace. Now, more than ever, digital skills are highly sought-after in a range of different industries around the world. With that in mind, our team of marketing experts sought to find out more about the benefits of being a Digital Marketeer around the globe. How much does a Digital Marketeer earn in each country?

Our results can reveal that Digital Marketing Managers in Asia are earning the most per annum compared to other continents around the world. In fact, the best country for Digital Marketeers is Japan, where a manager can earn a staggering £58,443 on average. Second on the list is China, where the average Digital Marketing Manager salary is £56,443, and the USA take the third spot with Americans taking home approximately £55,949 each year. When taking into account European countries, Denmark tops the list! According to our analysis, Danish Digital Marketing Managers can earn around £55,384 per annum, ranking them in fourth. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for the United Kingdom as the average Digital Marketing Manager salary is £32,820, placing it last on the list. When comparing it to Japan in first place, there is a difference of almost half (£25,623).

How much more money can you earn with more experience?

There’s no secret that experience can add a substantial amount of money to your baseline salary depending on your occupation, but how much of a difference does it make for a Digital Marketing Manager?

Unsurprisingly, according to our analysis of salaries across 15 countries worldwide, we found that lack of experience can cost you approximately £30,000.

How much can another digital field earn you?

If you are interested in joining the digital world but Digital Marketing is not up your street, there are many other jobs to explore. We found out how much you would be able to earn for each managerial level for digital jobs including web development, SEO and social media. Of all digital jobs we analysed, Web Developers take the lead when it comes to salaries, earning just over £45,000 per annum. We found that E-Commerce Managers, Public Relations Managers and Marketing Managers all earn over £40,000 (on average), and SEO Managers earn just shy of that with £39,973. However, Inbound Marketing Managers can expect to earn the least, at £31,325 per annum.
