Social media was initially thought to be a great way for people to keep in touch with each other, but over the years its sinister underbelly was exposed and this resulted in it becoming a source of disorientation and anger rather than communal connectivity. A new study from SimpleTexting sought to be uncover what social media platforms users are least comfortable with, and with all of that having been said and now out of the way it is important to note that Twitter ended up being selected as the most toxic one of all.Around 38.1% of the people that responded to this survey said that Twitter was the app that they felt had the most trolls on it. Facebook missed out on the dubious honor, with a relatively lower 26.9% of respondents saying that this social media platform had a noticeable number of trolls. Reddit came in third, with 14.9% of respondents saying the same about it with all things having been considered and taken into account.Social media in general appears to have become quite a toxic landscape. 60% of people who responded to this survey claimed that they feared about posting certain things because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up drawing the ire of those that hold opposing viewpoints. In spite of the fact that this is the case, about 90% of respondents stated that they saw someone in their network of friends and acquaintances posting something that had a racist slant to it, indicating that only those with radical fringe views are confident enough to say what they really think.84% of respondents also stated that they have seen negative comments about such sensitive topics as gender and sexual orientation. This suggests a bit of a gap between what people are perceiving and what is actually going on. If so much negative content is being spread online, it seems unlikely that a majority of people don’t post things for fear of what others might say to refute them so more studies would need to be done.Read next: Consumers Demand Tech Companies Step Up Their Game And Protect Users’ Information

Which gender has a longer attention span?

Well, now even science says that men have lower attention spans than women. Also, women are far more likely to learn from experience than men. Do you struggle to make your man give attention to what you say?

Do you struggle to make your man give attention to what you say? Well, now even science says that men have lower attention spans than women. Also, women are far more likely to learn from experience than men, who immediately assume they know everything, reveals a new Abertay University study. The revelations came to light when two groups of gibbons, biological cousins to humans, were presented with a rake-like tool, with one group given seven days to observe and play around with it.Grapes were then put just out of reach of the animals so they could use the rake to reach them. Male gibbons immediately investigated thetool, but the females were far more cautious until they knew the object was safe, reports the Scotsman.Gibbons are monogamous so researchers considered their lifestyle to mirror that of humans, and the results have opened new questions about the sex differences in learning."Males are very eager to explore new things. Certainly in humans women find very attractive as a kind of risk-taking male. So males are very quick to rush in, but once they had experience of it and discovered there was nothing really to be gained from it, they pretty much ignored it," said lead researcher Clare Cunningham, of the Gibbon Conservation Centre near Los Angeles, California."Females were slower in general. They were much more cautious, which is something we would predict because really females would have much more to lose if the situation turned out to be dangerous," she added.
