TikTok has always been known to be especially popular among teens and Gen Z users. But to what extent?

According to recent research studying TikTok users by age, the majority of TikTokers are between the ages of 18 to 24. More specifically, 39.91% of all TikTok users—or two out of every five—fall within this age range. Interestingly, female TikTokers in this age group outnumber their male counterparts by nearly 2.5 times.

Male TikTok users aged 18 to 24: 11.97%

Female TikTok users aged 18 to 24: 27.94%

The second-largest age group of TikTok users is teens aged 13 to 17, with 27.37% of them belonging to this range. There are also many more female (19.5%) than male (7.87%) users in this age group. The percentage of TikTok users 13 to 17 years of age is also just marginally higher than the 25 to 34 group, which makes up 25.11% of all TikTokers. These TikTok user statistics also show that there are slightly more male users among those aged 35 and above, while in the younger age demographics, female TikTok users significantly outnumber males.
